Event Safety and Crowd Management

At RANA Risk Management our breadth and depth of experience across event safety and management spans live music, sport, Air Shows, conferences and exhibitions. We make this experience count by providing everything from an Event Safety Officer to high quality and well managed security and stewarding services, which allows our customers to focus on the main event.

Our services cover every aspect of event safety from planning and liaison with organisers and enforcement authorities to preparation of documentation, full risk analysis, staff briefing and management.

Right from the start we can compose all the relevant Health & Safety documentation including Event Safety and Contingency plans for your Event, Traffic Management Plans, Stewarding Plans, Risk Assessments and Fire Safety risk assessments and evacuation plans. If available we will attend any necessary SAG meetings.

Our Event Safety Officers are well experienced with dealing with large crowds from many different areas. They all hold, or are working towards the Nationally recognised NVQ Level 4 in spectator safety, with many Health & Safety qualifications to help in decission making.

The Event Safety Officer will arrange for a check of the safety arrangements to be made before the event is opened, including that all firedoors are unlocked and access is unobstructed. They will be on site at all times, be easily identifiable as the Safety Officer and in a known location such as the Control Room. They will have the means to communicate with the people responsible for activating any part of the contingency arrangements and will monitor the continuing safety of the site throughout the event, paying special attention to structures, barriers, electrical supplies, installations and other equipment provided.

Our events and stewarding staff are taught to value the safety of themselves and others as a priority, and exercise a duty of care towards them at all times. As well as meeting all legal requirements, a variety of bespoke training and assignment initiatives strengthen our staff's knowledge and commitment and their understanding of the venues they service.

We offer a responsive and flexible service which can react quickly to the fast-changing demands of the event environment. Our team and customers also benefit from our extensive internal resources including First Aid, Fire and Traffic Management.

Our team has worked extensively on many events but recent they include the 30000 sell out at the Big Church Day Out, 100000 day visitors at both the Herne Bay and Folkestone Airshows, Arundel Festival, the Derby, Stanmer Music Park, an exhausting list of open air events, many Bonfire and firework displays and much more. Line ups have included well known names; Girls Aloud, Jamelia, McFly, Chipmunk, Alesha Dixon, Tinchy Stryder, Roll Deep, The Wanted, Basshunter, Olly Murs, Heather Small, Lemar, Kathrine Jenkins, Level 42, Shayne Ward, Alison Moyet, Texas and many more.
