The new British Standard BS-8599-1 has been introduced to give employers up to date recommendations for minimum first aid kit contents. This could mean your workplace first aid kit is not compliant with the new standard.

The new BS-8599-1 first aid kit is more comprehensive and will ensure your first aiders and employees have the right first aid supplies at hand. Current health and safety guidelines advise employers to perform a risk assessment to help determine the first aid provision required.
